Bolt Fabric and Personal Growth Comparison

Bolt Fabric and Personal Growth Comparison

I just finished my first week of Make Art That Sells – round two!  I decided to take the course again to see how much more I could learn.  I think I learned a considerable amount from it last year.

This was my very first MATS piece, which I designed for bolt fabric, in 2013.  I was so proud of it!  I even ordered some fabric with this design from Spoonflower.  I made this exactly a year ago:

I still think my first MATS piece is kind of cute (I do like the colors)… but now I have had sooooo much more practice.  Here is how my year 2 “root veggies and casseroles” bolt fabric piece turned out:

  1. Wow! You have certainly grown in terms of your style! What a difference! I love how you use collage and textures in this years piece – it really brings your line art to life! It creates a depth and richness that really speaks volumes about how much more mature you are in your art career! Well done. =)
